Edinburgh Language Academy is a centre for the Trinity Integrated Skills in English exam

The ISE test is a general English exam which covers the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. It covers levels A2 (pre-intermediate) to C2 (proficiency) on the Common European Framework.

The ISE assessment is unique because it checks your English level not only in an exam, but also through coursework. You will create a portfolio of written work on three topics. This work will cover different genres of written English. Your speaking and listening skills will be checked in an interview. During the interview, you will discuss your written work with the examiner.

There is also a reading and writing part to the test, which is taken like an exam. At lower levels, there are two written tasks. At higher levels, there are three writing tasks. For at least one of the writing tasks, you will have to read other texts, then use this information to write.

Course Description

On the ISE course, you will study 10 hours of preparation classes in the afternoon for eight weeks. The afternoon lessons involve working on the reading, writing, listening ans speaking skills in the exam and learning vocabulary on themes and topics that will help you to understand texts, write and speak fluently and accuarately.  The Trinity ISE course will last a total of eight weeks and will
